Trip to Exeter 2015

A quick little jaunt over to Devon for 17 Walnuts to play Sunset CC in the leafy surroundings of Exeter. Presided over by Bernie and their captain Mark, Sunset CC treated us in style. It was a close enough game by our standards but Sunset were victorious. We had purchased tickets for the 20/20 bash between Somerset and Middlesex in Taunton but it deluged with rain on the day and the match was called off well before start time so we had to retreat to a little hostelry to deluge our own sorrows. Hence the close but beaten result the following day. Sunset CC are about the closest Taverner Club side that I have ever played against on tour and they possess a true taverner spirit. Well done guys.
