The Walnuts are a mixed group of ex talented cricketers and ex cricketers alike. Most members are from a Rugby playing backgroung rooted in local school rivalries. The age of our Players range from 18 to just under 70 years. Grandsons have played with Grandfathers with little or no resulting argument.
Like all good Taverners, we pride ourselves in our ability to " Talk a good game" without feeling compelled to actually play a good one!

THE WALNUTS HAVE ENTERED THE MINOR CUP FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 2012. WE HAVE RECEIVED A BYE INTO THE SECOND ROUND. WE WILL BE MEETING THE WINNER FROM CIVIL SERVICE 4THS AND WICKLOW COUNTY 4THS ON SATURDAY JUNE 16TH AT HOME.
